Itchy in my ears

Hi Everyone what should i talk for itchiness in my ears. I have a big hole in my left ear and that one i feel too itchy most of the time. dr gave me some steroid ointment for upper side because of my hole but it’s doesn’t work. please any advice . thank you all .

my ENT consultant suggested olive oil or almond oil. My audiologist says he does not recommend these oils as they make wax worse. If you don’t have too much wax in your ears you might try this.

my ears is clean dr said but I can’t put oil because Of the hole. Main problem is big hole. sometimes itchiness goes really worse. make me anxious.

From what I can tell, having itchy ears is one symptom of recovering from a perforated eardrum - and as difficult as it is, it probably isn't a great idea to agitate the ear in any way to allow that recovery to happen.

have you tried a daily antihistamine? i get an itchy reaction to a medication & it helps to calm it. might be worth a try. i also moisturise the affected areas. although you cant do this inside, around the outer ear might sooth it abit. hope you find something that works for you.
