you are trying to stop him, which as I said can be a very dangerous thing. Just have a heart and a bit of empathy, we all know how hard this condition can be. Some people cope better than others, some people have friends and family to turn to, some don't. Just please be kind
I don't think anyone here is blaming you for 'moaning' about tinnitus - most people here have had moments when they need to complain about it.
Where forum members may be posting replies which you feel are lacking in empathy, I think that having gone through similar difficulties in the past, they are trying to stop you from doing what a psychiatrist or counsellor might describe as 'rumination' - an unhelpful focus on negative emotions or beliefs which it is easy to become stuck in.
When we feel distressed or have difficulty with a problem, it is remarkably common for people to become stuck on that issue and see it as something which cannot be moved on from or resolved.
You want to move on from tinnitus and not have it cause you distress, but some of the actions which you are exhibiting - multiple postings on similar topics, answering your own posts, seeing fairly neutral replies from members of the forum as being attacks or unfriendly - are keeping you locked into a pattern of paying a great deal of attention to tinnitus, worrying about it and becoming more distressed.
This isn't going to help you get to where you want to be with tinnitus - which is to not be focused on it to the exclusion of anything else.
Many forum members have given you advice and information which can be helpful - you now might benefit from acting on what has been suggested rather than asking very similar questions which you already have good answers to.
like Pat said - u have to try to deal with yr T in practical ways - sound therapy, try the OTO app on yr phone ( which is CBT therapy) , attention to diet etc etc - RE-READ the replies to yr posts and TAKE IN the advice on how to deal with the T
Yr hearing seems fine as u have been tested recently - when u see ENT , quite often they cannot do anything about the T ( but yes, its good to get checked ) - but u have to spend time each day to find ways to manage and cope with the T , this is your TOP priority - so that you can improve
The OTO app for yr mobile is very good, as it is CBT therapy and can calm your anxiety and therefore have an effect on the T - but it must be done daily and full attention to the exercises
hi toughmatthew Your spot on with this post. Why have a forum for helping when you can’t be honest on how your feeling. I will never stop speaking about how T makes me feel.
