On the 20th November 2020 i wrote a piece about what i saw in the Irish times about a nasal spray of the love hormone oxylocin which could banish tinnitus. They had some trials done which proved successful. then there was another trial due in the USA involving 30 patients the results from that were due in June 2021 i was wondering if any body had heard any thing about that trial as i have not.

if you ask Tinnitus UK (formerly the British tinnitus association) who keep their eye on these things, they may know.

I found quite a lot to read on line about Oxytocin, and it sounds as if they had some very positive results from the trials. It's a natural hormone produced by the hypothalamus. Seems to be administered in a nasal spray. If it becomes available, I'm sure someone on here, or at Tinnitus Uk will let us know.

Lets hope this is a breakthrough if not a cure then something that may make the noise quieter.
