I do. Mine is in the background and most of the time I can ignore it. But sometimes it comes to the fore and it's not pleasant. I find that I control it by ignoring it. But I'm sure it's not as easy if it's louder. It's a very common noise to hear.

Yes. Had it 4 years in my left ear. At the start it was very strong but has lessened significantly. Only now start to be aware of it late evening and night time, sometimes stronger than others. It wasn't the noise but the strong feeling of pressure that it caused, giving a headache.

I am still convinced that I am picking up low frequency sound from the outside and that it is not being generated inside me. If I completely block my ear the noise virtually disappears.

What saved my sanity was using a white noise fan app at night which cancelled it out (Sleep Aid Fan on Android). If you use it you must use an external speaker with good bass. The speakers in tablets and phones are no good. This will give you an idea whether white noise will work for you. I found the lower frequency fan noise worked best.

I have now bought a white noise generating machine which I can just flip on at night if I notice the sound.

I had a similar noise a few years ago. At first I thought it was a vehicle engine outside the house. If I covered my ear I realised it became louder and it seemed to originate from a physical vibration in my ear, which was quite different from my higher frequency tinnitus. I had quite a few ear problems around that time but the noise went after a few weeks or months. However, I still sometimes get a similar noise for a while after being exposed to moderately loud sound. On the positive side, this kind of tinnitus that can be likened to a real noise in the outside world could be considered easier to live with than some other forms of tinnitus, as you can think of it as a familiar noise in your environment.

yes, I have that two, although it’s more in my head than ears. Sometimes it’s quite noticeable at others not so much. There are low frequency sounds on YouTube called binaural beats, playing one of those will cancel out the noise, I find, in fact most other sounds cancel it out. It gets worse in the evening. I find if I shake my head from side to side the noise stops, but as soon as my head is still again it comes back. I believe I’m hearing blood flowing in a large artery near the ear. I’ve had it for around 20 years along with high pitched screaming tinnitus.

You're symptoms are very common I believe. I was like that 4 years ago but after doing nightshift work for nearly 12 months suddenly my tinnitus got much worse and has deteriorated ever since. I now have loud rumbling sounds in both ears and a constant high pitched noise throughout my head during all my waking hours. As well as this I feel like I have a mild headache all the time and often feel a bit dizzy. Any stress makes it worse and I don't feel safe driving on motorways anymore. I don't think you should worry about your's. Just make sure you get plenty of sleep.
