Habituation is real or just extreme tolerance or can really treat it as nothing

It's a good question. I think some people live very happily with their T . Others have to manage it on a day to day basis. I can't ignore mine but I can live with it. There's no one size fits all. It's different for everyone.

like DL says - its different for everyone - Habituation can mean the sound is hardly heard OR for many people, it means that they can still hear the sound , although it can be less intense

Acceptance of the T , really is necessary to reduce anxiety about it.

Everyone is different. It seems however that for quite large group of people it's "how easy is to lose track of it while doing something"

For example if there is silence I do not feel better. It's loud - sometimes to the point of pain (when i'm tired).

I have "I forgot to think about tinnitus during the movie" "I have worked for 2 hours without thinking about it" more often. I like to cherish these moments as counterbalance (as we naturally "cherish" the bad ones)
