I have a buz feeling in my heart area, it’s not all of the time, on and off all day.
I’ve had it for about three weeks now, went to doctors last week had checks done all fine, waiting for a monitor to wear for 24 hrs. I’m not feeling unwell.
Has anyone else experienced this buzzing around the heart area?
I know it’s not for this forum, I don’t know how to post anywhere else.
Would be pleased to have some advice.
thank you in advance
Jean 😊

I have read about tremors relating to stress and anxiousness. I often feel threatened and frightened when my tinnitus changes, I just wondered if anyone have had similar symptoms or experience.
thank you for your reply I have been to the doctors and I’m waiting for a 24 hr monitor to be fitted. It is interesting as you mention the neck as I have pain in that area having physio.
I have read about tremors relating to anxiousness, I suffer and struggle with my tinnitus which makes me anxious and stressed when my noises change and I feel threatened.
lots of people feel threatened and anxious when their tinnitus changes. There have been many many posts on this forum about this over the last few years.
go to the British Tinnitus Association website and read about peoples experiences and maybe give their helpline a call.
Your medical team know about your history, age, height and weight, family history and so on whereas posters here can only tell you about THEIR conditions - surely it’s best to trust your medical team? The more you think about it and concentrate on it, the worse you will feel - that’s one of the many side effects of tinnitus.
I understand fully about it being THEIR conditions and MY conditions. I do not have to be told that I am better talking with my doctor when I am already doing this.
I am merely asking members if they have had tremor experience whilst being anxious with tinnitus, that is all.
Many years ago I was experiencing heart palpitations on a daily basis and was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation (AF), which could be interpreted as 'buzzing' around the heart. I tended to get it during relaxing moments, when I was unwinding, and was told it can be related to anxiety. If you have this condition, the 24-hour heart-monitor should pick it up. It is not a serious heart condition if treated with a daily beta-blocker.
Hi Jean. I didn't feel unwell or any pain either. So, it could well be AF that you have too. If they do offer a beta-blocker, just make sure that it isn't ototoxic. I was initially prescribed daily aspirin too to thin the blood, but I no longer take this and now stay away from it as T is a known side-effect. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm sure they'll sort it out.
I just noticed on the BTA site that taking aspirin in the small doses required for blood thinning should be fine regarding tinnitus. Thought I'd point this out, as I didn't want to mis-lead. Come to think of it, I can't say that it affected my T while I was taking it daily. My ear issues took a turn for the worse later, after I had stopped taking it.
The heart buzzing may be a vicious circle that you need to break. If it is caused by anxiety and you are worrying about it, this may reinforce the anxiety and exacerbate the buzzing (as well as your tinnitus). I suggest you try not to worry about the heart thing, as it may well turn out to be something not too drastic - possibly AF (for which there is simple and effective treatment) or some sort of transitory muscle spasm in the vicinity of the heart (I get these in different places from time to time).
thank you, you have certainly helped me to try to not worry too much. It’s hard because I worry all of the time about things I have no control over, but that is me.
