I am more or less convinced that the root cause of ongoing tinnitus is damage to cervical vertebra. It gets worse after swimming, walking on hard ground, yoga etc, but can disappear magically and temporarily when I move my head/neck is odd way in the morning, but not reliably. Any ideas?

Looking for answers.... neck
I have neck problems related to arthritis. It may be coincidence, but when I use a massager on my neck and jaw, the tinnitus recedes - its only temporary sadly, but it would indicate there's some kind of connection
Hi I have had a bad neck and dizziness for years, am currently having treatment with a chiropractor for back and neck, he said tinnitus could be linked to tightness in the neck but I haven’t noticed any change yet although it’s early days.
This may not help with tinnitus, but for neck problems, I recommend seeing a good osteopath.
I go regularly to a local osteopath. He freed up a stiff neck, and the treatment he gives keeps my neck in better condition, particularly with regard to smooth and easy sideways movement.
I’ve been dealing with T ever since a whiplash incident in 1998. In recent years, I’ve experienced additional T sounds/frequencies, pulsing woofing. I’ve seen every type of specialist and still find no cohesive collaborative effort to try and understand T beyond the 1960s version. Loud noise seems to be the cause for many but neck injuries certainly are suspect. When I look up, my neck hurts and my T spikes.
It seems many people look for a simple answer to what seems to be a multidimensional problem. When I read the results of my brain scan, I can deduce far more than my neurosurgeon did in his report. I can also speak to the un-brain training that a brain scan will do if your not given adequate ear protection while in the MRI scanner.
I’m currently taking years of scans, and other medical records to a renowned human rights lawyer who is interested in getting to the bottom of what causes T. There is so much data available, it just needs to be analyzed by an expert committed to finding answers.
I’ve proposed on this platform, the idea of compiling data comprehensively to help find common links that may lead to some answers. Thus far, the platform acts more like a social media platform rather than an institution committed to positive change.
Our nervous system is challenged by so many things in our environment, it needs to be looked at seriously and scientifically. T is the evidence that something is seriously wrong. With so many people now affected by it, it’s clearly time for more experts to get involved.
I've servere cervical spondylosis with limited movement Spinal surgeon said it was a wait & see game that was 2019. Had another mri of neck 2020 around the time I developed tinnitus ...scan showed osteophytes on all cervical discs . I'm aware of how bad neck is due to symptoms I live with numbness tingling face burning pain electric shocks clumsy hand & other symptoms however this pulsating tinnitus subsides abit if I turn neck but comes back with a vengeance ....so yes in my case its related to neck & blood vessels ...
I quite agree. I didn't join this to hear how bad T is and that it will not get better. Interesting that had I not had MRI for T I would not have found out about pituitary cyst and menigioma which I may have had for years with no problems. This caused further MRIS with huge anxiety due to noise, awaiting surgery, then not happening etc etc..... wish I had never started investigating. If you need any information for research, would be happy to help.
I agree I'm looking for answers not how bad it is, where all in same boat with Tinnitus..however if there is a reason for it & treatment to stop it that's what I'm looking for ..wouldn't say a cure but how it's managed..I've also have small vessel cerebrovascular brain disease with a sub arachnid cyst...right temperol lobe... I've a few things going on but last 2yrs this god dam awful ringing pulsating doing my head in!
I have now got "myNoise" app playing Spring Walk whilst I am listening to radio!
I am the same Comes from my neck. I can turn the T on and off in my right ear by neck movement
The left is a permanent hiss. So annoying. I am a podiatrist and head neck bent all day
Somatic T that someone must know how to help?
