Hi all. The last time I posted on here, I reported that having the Covid vaccine had improved my T considerably. Well now I'm due for my booster and guess what, my T has gotten a lot worse. I've noticed a considerable deterioration over the last 3 weeks. Last weekend, it was particularly bad with associated headache and extreme tiredness; I felt unwell all weekend.
But it comes and goes: last week, one day it was bad, the next I felt a lot better with no headaches; they had been daily. The other thing I've noticed is it's more one sided, on my left side. It's also started to affect my sleep 😔 Only Lorazepam was able to knock me out.
So Wednesday, I'm seeing my GP. As I live in Spain, I'll let you know what they do for it out here.
Thanks for reading and my best to you all x

Hi , your lucky to have lovely warm air in Spain , it’s really cold here in the U.K. . I hope your tinnitus goes back to some degree of normality soon . Such a very weird unexplainable and ridiculous condition this tinnitus is !!!!
I wish it was! We're in the midst of an extreme cold snap. Temperatures start at about 5o with an icy wind off the mountains. We've even had snow! But warm air or cold, neither helps my T 😔
Yes it must be very hard . I thought people had started travelling again . My family live a 95 mile drive and I managed to see them after a year apart. This Covid is such a pain. I am hoping this new variant they are talking about doesn’t come to anything serious. I hope your tinnitus isn’t too bad , I cope just about.
TurboTrace hope your tinnitus settles down. That is hard missing your friends and family. I am addicted to watching A Place in the Sun and looking up the Spanish places on the map. Malaga area is beautiful.
Of course nothing is perfect in life... everything is all about trying to get a balance...I had a day ashore in Malaga on a cruise ship 3 yrs ago and loved it. I would like to visit Antequera sometime after seeing it on TV...All the best from Scotland!
I'm in Central Scotland. We've a bit of snow but missed the worst of the storms. It was very blustery here on Friday night but worse across the Forth in Perth, Dundee and North East. A lot of places are still without electricity.
Snow was lying this morning and very cold. My cat is not happy with the temperature and staying in. 😸
Nice text thanks. My old cat sticks her nose out and says “ no thank you “. The poodles are young, bouncy and full of energy and they don’t notice the weather. It’s pretty dry here in the south but cold . I’ve just been on the phone with a good friend of mine for TWO Hours . I live on my own with my dogs and it’s nice to have a night friend . I met her some years ago at a pain clinic . We are there for each other . She does not have any tinnitus . My tinnitus does not bother me at night . The white poodle is snuggled up on my bed !!!! 🐩 🐩
Hi, Sorry to hear this, would be interested to see what your Spanish GP says. I know the BTA are regularly updating their COVID page (tinnitus.org.uk/listing/cat..., as still early days afraid researchers are still looking at covid and vaccine side effects. I unfortunately have long covid and am awaiting my long covid clinic appointment and I will be asking them about covid and T, will be interesting to see what they say. Take care and stay safe
