Hello All

I see a lot of Info here on this Forum, and I need some Real Honest help from the all the Experienced Members , as I summarizing very very hard 3.5 months.

Loud Onset :- June 2021 , I suppose because of stress . The audiogram is the same from the last 6 years. No Exposure to Loud music.

Current condition :- Tone changing – 5-8 times per day (Started with Right side -35 DB – Generally Crickets)(Now also on Left side from 1 month :- 20 DB -Generally Crickets)

Imp Observations : -

1)Running one kilometer, just reduce the volume by 70 percent , especially after a good night sleep.

2)Jaw clinching increase Volume on both sides.

3) Left side :- Neck movement 90deg :- Increase volume only on Left side.

3) Very light Ear Inflammation/pain in the center close to Ear Drum ?? AM I suffering from the Pain Hypercausis ?? This diverts my brain to the noise, even if do not want to keep it there.

4 ) End Aug :- Right side :- After tring Gbiobla, Multi Vitamins, Cortisal Infusion, and several Rounds with ENT, was given Dexamethason Injections, in Munich , and I believe the onset towards the Left Side, with that.

5)Already added Magn, B12, Indian Ayurveda, Body based massages per Week, Yoga

6) Problem with loud noises, excite my tinnitus and thereby its takes hours to settle it down. :- Started using the Double Protecting . Ear Buds / Ear Muffs

7) 1 hour Driving Excites my Tinnitus and this is the part most problematic for me ? Any ideas ?

8) Any Expericneced Doctors , who can understand the details , and can provide a ROadmap

Positives

Able to sleep 7-8 hours , with very light Cricket masking.

Looking forward to your positive advices/ roadmap, which can bring bit more calm to the Current Situation/ Next Steps to solve patiently the topics (Tinnitus volume lightening/ Pain in ear / Anxiety )

Thanks in advance

Hi Roberto. A warm welcome. I'm not an expert or a doctor but here are my thoughts. You have good hearing so the onset of T is probably stress related - as you say. It sounds like you know what helps / hinders your T - which is a good start. You sleep well - which isn't always the case in the early days. I would start with relaxation exercises and sound therapy . You could also see a doctor about the pain in your ear. All the best.

THanks for the reply , I went to the ENT. He has no clue for the pain and advices to have a pain killer. The head was paining a lot in the center in the last couple of days, and that is why i revisited 2nd Neuro, who told to do MRI . Here are the 2 prescriptions for MRI

Can u please guide me Specifications / Naming Startery of MRI , as i want to do it only once.

MRI Specifications :- India Neuro and Munich ENT Doctors

I'm sorry Roberto. I'm not a doctor . It's very good news you're having an MRi scan for the problems you describe. Hopefully the medics will find out what's wrong. All the best.

Hi Roberto - the community here isn't medically qualified and what we can offer is our own experiences of tinnitus generally. Our experiences may not replicate your own.

When you are experiencing pain, it is a good idea to establish whether this caused by something relatively straightforward like an ear infection - which doctors are far more comfortable treating - or more complex like Hyperacusis, where working with a specialist to develop a gradual easing of heightened responses to sound triggers is a good strategy to aim for.

You've shared an image of an audiogram, which I wouldn't be able to comment on - save to say that a small decline in our ability to hear can make a normal, unobtrusive sound go from something we barely notice to being something which is all too intrusive and difficult to cope with.

What's often happening in a situation like this is that our ears and brain work in a seamless way which isn't usually noticeable - we can hear hundreds of sounds in a day, but we'll only remember ones which seem dangerous or threatening to us. If we react to something like tinnitus by being stressed or anxious about it, our brain interprets this as proof that the sound is threatening and that we need to be aware of it in case we need to take action.

The best action to take with tinnitus is to accept it and not show it any particular fear or give it any more than passing attention. If we respond to it by wanting it to go - by feeling like it is ruining our lives, we're going to be tormented by it. There isn't a cure for tinnitus, so that's a one way street where we're continually going to be frustrated by what seems like an unwinnable battle.

The key thing is not to fight against tinnitus, not to let stresses or worries about it define your life. Changing the way that you view it - an annoying sound, a weird noise that can't harm you - can be revolutionary. Tinnitus can't do anything to you - you are more in control of it than it is of you.

The negatives that you've mentioned are likely to improve with time - a lot of what you're going through now is habituation to tinnitus and it will get better. Have a look at Dr Bruce Hubbard's stages of habituation list and see if you can recognize some of the thoughts and feelings you're having about tinnitus - cbtfortinnitus.com/stages-o...

Hi Roberto, I know how you feel because I had tinnitus 3 years ago and it lasted for 2 years. I developed it after earwax removal which was done by audiologist using microsuction. I don't understand why this procedure is still legal in many countries despite being so dangerous for ears. At the beginning I was suicidal, so they put me on antidepressants. I was lucky because from all the stress I also got Shingles and received steroids which probably helped with my tinnitus. Except of this I was taking Ginkgo biloba and high dosage of Magnesium. At the same time I started doing exercises from Austin Goh and the level of tinnitus gradually lowered exactly as he claimed. You need to do them daily twice a day for one year to receive long lasting results. Please try them, you have nothing to loose. I wish you luck and keep fingers crossed for you! youtube.com/watch?v=GsCTBeG...
