Excellent days

Pink6- profile image
28 Replies

I've had 10 days of near no sound at all. Then three days of just an annoying hissing sound then over the last two days and pure blissful no sound days. I've got hearing aids programmed into my mild to moderate hearing loss so I think my brain is picking up the missing sounds and all is well. I just wanted to give people a positive good news story.

There must be something in the air as my T has been much less present over the last day or so.

Anyway, I hope your good news story continues 🤞😊

Mine is constant both ears. A hissing and rattling. I get migraines though and I have menieres. Great news for you though. Mine never goes - I had sudden high frequency hearing loss.

Hi LoveActually hope your keeping well?. Could I please ask you how you were diagnosed with Meniere's? I think that I may have it also but ENT department say that I dont. My symptoms are Low.frequency hearing loss, tinnitus and dizziness, sometimes Vertigo (only happened twice when i woke up in the morning). The professionals say I don't as my symptoms don't follow in the "correct" pattern to that of Meniere's....vertigo, increase of T, fullness in the ear at the same time if that makes sense🤔 Thank you x

Also i thought Meniere's was only associated with Low Frequency Hearing Loss? Sorry I'm learning new things about this everyday x

Hi. I’m being treated for suspected Ménière’s/migraines. So I have Betahistine which aids blood flow to the cochlear.

I hope yours settles down. Prayer is powerful.

What sort of prayer? I’m a bit rubbish at it.

Just pray in your own words

To be honest I don’t think they have a clue what’s going on because you can’t really get in and have a good look!

Hop38 profile image
Hop38 in reply toLoveActually01

Thanks for your reply. I think the only way to get in and have a look is with an MRI. I've had one of those and it came back clear. Best of luck with your journey

LoveActually01 in reply toHop38

Yeah I've had an MRI because they thought I had a brain tumour!!

So hearing aids help T?

I can't say they do for everyone as each and every one of us is unique.

Hiya Pink, sorry only just read this as only recently joined. Great news. My T has only started in the last few weeks and I thought the end of the world had come! Doc thought it might have been due to anti-depressants but I have stopped these but still have the T. I've been referred for further tests. Thanks to everyone! J xx Age 62 UK
