The devil & the deep blue....

recently I had (still have?) a bout of tinnitus.

It started unbidden in the pm and continued unabated during the evening & night. The next morning I went to see my GP who prescribed Otimise twice daily. The first spray ceased the T, all the others for the next 3 days made it worse.

I spoke to another GP who said after talking to me on the 'phone that the first was right, I had an infection for which otimise was the answer, she also referred me to the local ENT.

The ENT doctor suctioned my ears again and after ignoring my comments on the effect of Otimise advised me to continue with it for another 10 days., she couldnt wait to kick me out of her room, I felt I was interrupting her day.

I researched Otimise and T then looked at another couple of issues before deciding the T as it was for me was preferable to an enhanced T after taking the spray so I backed off the Otimise.

I also looked at other drugs I was tacking, I am a suicidal depressive with zero self worth and frontal lobe damage from an earlier accident. These conditions bring many bonuses including intense concentration (not great with T) and poor memory.

I have partial ED & the information on viagra gave me a clue, it coincided with the circumstances of the first episode of T so I played with myself as guinea pig. Reduced the dose I used, gave a few days between usage and waited to see if I was correct.

The fact is that when I stop using viagra the T goes away within 48 hours, when I use a small 20% chip of a full size pill the T returns so make your own decision.

Hefner apparently died deaf as a result of his use of this inhibitor, the US FDA now puts a Tinnitus warning on the boxes. This side effect was not explained to me and an infection that I had masked the real cause of this awful condition.

So ED or T, with the knowledge that each time I use V i chance my hearing and/or long term T.

My first post, I hope it is of some use to someone else.

Interesting first post and yes we have to be our own guinea pig most of the time . Good luck to you .

Thanks for your post. One of the (many) problems with T is that docs realise there’s no pill that can cure it as such - they can’t get their prescription pad out and write something. So some of them don’t quite know what to do. Next time you have contact with someone in the medical profession, refer them (assuming you are in the Uk), to the NICE guidance on T.
