I found these good for my Pulsatile Tinnitus also they weren't too big for my small ears as they're made for women. I still had to shorten them however by cutting the end off so they were comfortable to lie on. They helped tremendously with the whooshing noise: allearplugs.com/products/he...

Thank you for your reply Nellie. I will look into those. Did you get used to your tinnitus. How long have you had it

I had mine for about 2 years. I had an angiogram but they couldn't find anything wrong so they referred me to the tinnitus clinic. This was a complete waste of time as pulsatile tinnitus is not the same as tinnitus: they couldn't believe that earplugs helped my tinnitus as they make normal tinnitus louder but I couldn't get to sleep without them. I was extremely lucky in that my PT went away on its own after 2 years & has stayed away about 4 years now. Although I know it could return at any time, I'm so grateful it went away & I hope it does for you too eventually. I also used a flat ' under the pillow' speaker to play white noise & air conditioner fan noises to help cover the whoosh to help me sleep.

Thank you Nellie. My audiologist and ENT guy ha e said it should stop. Just my ears need to heal after the microsuction. Thanks for the tip about the ear plugs. Been a bit stressed today but notice funny things going on with my ears. Almost like a re tweaking so to speak. Like tuning in. Does that make sense to you.

Get hearing aids they make ordinary sounds louder and keep tinnitus sounds lower mine does worth trying you got nothing to lose ear plugs make my tinnitus louder had my tinnitus seven years now when i talk to someone I can not hear it, when I watch tv I can not hear it, when I am doing something I can not hear it, after seven years don't know it is here so just keep in there you will come out the other side feeling ok again. (when I first had it I considered suicide but now I am glad i didn't

Why not stick with the cotton wool? It does the job for you, it allows air through and you can adjust the pressure to suit you. If you can avoid blocking air out completely, that's a good thing (advice to me from audiologist) It's also ridiculously cheap!

Whatever works for you, works.
