Just wondering if anyone has gone down this route to alleviate symptoms . Pleased to hear from members. I contacted a homeopathic practitioner who said in his experience many had benefitted but am always sceptical of claims and the Tinnitus organisation doesn't seem to have a high regard either.

Homeopathy remedies

Any herbs mentioned that could be worth trying? I'll try anything...I heard something about Magnesium Citrate but it didn't seem to make much difference when I tried it for a few weeks...
Homeopathy is a pseudoscience...
"2010 House of Commons Science and Technology Committee report on homeopathy said that homeopathic remedies perform no better than placebos (dummy treatments).
The review also said that the principles on which homeopathy is based are 'scientifically implausible'."
Homeopathy cured my hay fever and my daughter’s hay fever. It seems to work for allergies but not sure anything else.
Hi Halen. Here's an interesting link about homeopathy (not to be confused with herbal remedies) being put under scientific scrutiny:

and failing dismally.
If you can get through the homeopathic claims about the 'memory of water' without laughing out loud, you've done better than me.
Homeopathy utilizes the placebo effect. I would never dismiss the power of the mind; that's what habituation to tinnitus is all about, and it works - given enough time. But the mind works its special brilliance without the application of homeopathic 'remedies'.
Bear in mind that if homeopathy can work to alleviate tinnitus, so can drinking mineral water, which is a heck of a lot cheaper!
Beat have the water then with a good whiskey. I an sceptical as years ago I had some cream skin blemishes on my hands decided to homeopathic after money spent nothing happened. I happened to go to my GP for something else and he said i see you have a bit of vitiligo on your hands bang on .did i feel stupid so all these claims must be taken for what they are ,claims. Thanks for the reply
I'm astounded that it exists. It clearly makes a profit despite the evidence.
"Critics of homeopathy say the reason the medicines are ineffective is because in homeopathic remedies the original substance is diluted to such an extent that no molecules of the substance remain in the remedy.
Homeopaths have argued that the critics are missing the point of the dilution process. The homeopaths claim it is not necessary for any of the original substance to remain as the dilution process somehow imprints a ‘memory’ of the substance into the water."
