I’ve been on this forum for a few months now and have noticed how many of us have anxiety exacerbating the T or vice versa. I’m in the very fortunate position that the T doesn’t bother me too much .... it came on slowly so was, I think, less noticeable. I can hear it above the engine noise of a car but deal with it by ignoring it, mostly.
However, on Friday my husband fell ill, the paramedic decided it was hospital for him and the ambulance carted him off. And wow did the T get intrusive! The worry of my ‘best friend’ being hospitalised and the T together was quite hard!
By the way, all back to normal now.

Yes, I have noticed that too. I am sure it is linked to that part of the brain. I did wonder if we are hearing our brains working. Just like say listening to a car engine. Not that it helps of course but if we could only understand why I think we could cope more. All the best . Sue
Stress/anxiety can make it worse, I have health anxiety and when stressed out find the tinnitus can be overpowering, it can also become worse when my sinuses play up.
