I agree with Anne who has posted.

It’s a horrible thing, but there are ways to help you mentally, as Anne has said. The main thing I find it to tell yourself that YOU are in charge of IT and not IT In charge of YOU. Perhaps you can try and imagine a black cloud hanging over you and a beam of sunlight appearing and shining down. The black cloud is the Tinnitus. Tell yourself “I’m in that sunshine and it’s helping me to feel better”.

Hi, sorry you have Tinnitus, I have it too, unfortunately as of yet no cure, but there are loads of things you can do, to help tollerate it, don't know if you have white noise maskers, have you been to an ENT Doctor, they could refer you to a Hearing Therapist in your area, or even you own doctor could, they are a great help, other wise you could ask to be fitted with Hearing Aids, they have helped me, I have some hearing loss now, use your phone apps for sounds of the sea, white noise, surf noises, they will help you at night, buy a sound oasis from Amazon, try eating less salt and sugar, watch your diet, this helps, sorry there is no cure, I hope and pray for one, do computer games if you like this sort of thing, it will take your mind off the Tinnius, anything really that takes your mind off the tinnitus, its a horrible thing, take care,

Anne

Hi Anne the only thing I avoid is Quine which is in tonic water I don’t drink alcohol and drink only decaf T and coffee but as for cutting out salt and sugar I have found it makes no difference.

It’s difficult to live with isn’t it. I’ve had it for 23 years, most of that time it’s been easy to manage. Recently thought it’s spiked and been really bad for about 6 weeks now with a dose of hyperacusis thrown in. I’ve just joined an online support group here: Signal tinnitus support group and had my first online chat with the group last night. They have more meetings coming up if you’re interested. 🙂

Eat clean! You are what you eat. Low carb diets have a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect and are known to clear up many chronic conditions, including hearing loss. Though never self-medicate - any hearing loss evaluation as well as treatment should be done professionally - audiologyisland.com/service...
