If tinnitus spikes from fans and any white noise does that mean its damaging to my ears?

Is it ok to be around fans despite it spiking my tinnitus? It's really hot where I live. If it spikes around white noise does that mean its dangerous to my ears? Its reactive to sound but is it ok to be around those noises to desentisize my ears? I go back to work in a grocery store tomorrow. If it spikes from refrigerators and fans is it dangerous or is it good to desentisize my ears and hopefully will stop doing it? It's been 6 months though but I hear it can take time. Some days are a little better than others but still reactive.
