Does Anyone go to Tinnitus Support Groups ?

Hello All I would be interested if anyone goes to your local Tinnitus groups ? We have one in Brighton I have never been mainly because having had Tinnitus for some years I know all I need to know and the Brighton group is for 2 hours and I think I would get bored .

I have been to meetings on many occasions they are very helpful and keep you up to date with what's happening I found it worthwhile

Having visited a couple during last year I became involved with a new one in Leeds. The old cliche applies "A troubled shared.........".

Other people's opinions? Phooey! Give it a try once or twice then decide for yourself.

I'm lucky enough to go to 2 different groups they have been the biggest help for me and they keep you upto date with what's going on.

been to one once. found it helpful to hear other peoples coping strategies and news on medical research/trials into possible medicines. Just dont go hoping to hear a cure story

I go occasionally. My experience is that people go expecting to be told things by the organiser, when in reality it doesn't usually work that way. It's just somewhere to gripe about tinnitus with fellow sufferers.

I live in Miami Florida and they have no support group for tinnitus. That I know I I of.

My local group meet so seldom that I forget about going. Did not find it very useful but then again I only went once.

Keep meaning to go to Edinburgh one but it's only every few months and on a Saturday afternoon which usually doesn't suit

Yes our group meets in Brighton during the week it’s a bus ride away which I just can’t be bothered
