Citalopram, anti depressant.: Hi, I’ve got... - Tinnitus UK
Citalopram, anti depressant.
Hi - I'm on Citalpram and it hasn't affected the perceived loudness of my T, but it has helped to lift my mood. It might be that you are nervous about taking it and it will be this that causes your T to get louder. This happened to me. I took it for a day and thought my T had got worse so immediately stopped taking it. I really needed something to help and tried again a few days later with no problem at all and it's really helping. I've been on it for 3 months now. Like everyone on here says try to relax, not stress and keep busy..
Hi, I tried it in July for a week for anxiety and I had to stop taking it as my tinnitus got alot louder,I went back to the gp and she said stop taking it if it was making me worse, it can be a side affect in 1% of people who take it, I was just unlucky but my noise level has went back down to normal now.
Thanks Michael
