I thought I'd share some information on the Forum about the BTA's Tea for Tinnitus fundraiser and the new Tea Tally.
As you may know we've been encouraging people to hold tea parties during Tea for Tinnitus for a number of years, and whilst these have been successful, we wanted to allow supporters with a bit less time, to get involved.
So new for 2019 we've launched our Tea Tally fundraiser - an activity where you can fundraise for the BTA at work or at home. It's really simple to do, you just make a donation for each cup you drink during the course of a week.
We have a fantastic Tea Tally pack which you can request at tinnitus.org.uk/forms/get-a....
We're encouraging you to make this into a team effort if possible, and get your friends and colleagues to join in. Each time your have a cuppa (and that includes coffee!) mark the tally chart and at the end of the week calculate your donation total.
To make life easier for those making the cups of tea we've created six tea types ranging from Cream Tea (the milkiest of cuppa's) to Ran out of Milk (so dark a brew that it could almost be taken for a coffee)!
Many people with tinnitus refer to it as their T - a sort of nickname for their tinnitus. We wanted to give people the opportunity to share their tea preference and raise awareness of their tinnitus. Hence the double meaning of the hashtag we are using for this fundraiser, #MyT.
If you have any questions, please do get in touch with the fundraising team by calling 0114 250 9933 or you can email fundraising@tinnitus.org.uk.
I hope you think this is a great way to raise awareness of tinnitus and of raising funds to support the tinnitus community through our work.
Thanks, Emily (BTA Campaigns Manager)
