I received the TRT ring relief from eBay today. They do in fact say TRP ring relief. The guy (Sorry can't remember your name) had good results from this product. Is it the same product? TRT and TRP? I am a bit confused and a little concerned. My T is quite mild, I think. I've had the symptoms for a few months and they haven't got worse, in fact I rarely notice them unless in a quiet place and I only hear it in the left ear. It says on the box that the symptoms could initially worsen. I am dubious and a little bit scared to try them. I know it's only me who can decide what to do, but I would be grateful for any advice at all from you lovely lot on this forum x I've just realised they were called TRP, never TRT, however they have been called TRF ...confusing!! Anyway my husband is going to try them . He has power tool use work related T in both ears. I will report back.

I would be very sceptical using anything like this purchased over the internet. There’s a lot of people out there trying to make money out of us. If this really worked I’m sure the BTA would be singing it’s praises.
I see a homeopath privately and all her remedies are designed to suit the individual, but a lot of people think this is just a waste of money as well. I’ve been seeing her for years and I always turn to her when my t is bad, plus my hearing therapist, audiologist and GP.
I guess in the long run you have to do what’s best for you.
Thank you Ingrid. Yes I am sceptical. It's the 'this could make symptoms worsen initially' bit I'm worried about. My T is mild and since the onset a few months ago I haven't put anything in my ears. I'm going to leave it for now I think. I knows that with homeopathic treatment you do often have a worsening of symptoms initially, but I don't think I'm desperate enough to risk it. Maybe other people will review it on here at some stage. There was one very positive review, that's what prompted me to order .
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply and for your advice.
Hi Hayley, I’m very curious to see how your husband goes. I have very high Tinnitus in my right ear , but worried about putting drops in my ear as I have had a lot of infections ... good luck though and keep me posted . Jenny xxxx
I’m definitely sceptical about putting any drops or creams in my ears and how do you administer the drops yourself unless it has one of those plastic tubes with a rubber top used to draw the liquid from the bottle then squeeze it once the end of tube is placed in ear. As stated before if TRP is so good we would all have been recommended to use it by BTA and NHS or private sources. Not for me I’m afraid!
Oh, right. You mean the same product. TRP ? Homeopathic?..Oh dear, I don't know what to do. I know I won't use it, but my husband seems chilled about trying it x
This product been over the counter for years it’s not a internet scam. And it does give relief to the T . Nothing cures T but if we can get some relief from this affliction
Why not. As for infections if you follow instructions infections will not happen.
Unfortunately, any medical problem for which there is no standard cure or reliable treatment is fair game for those who wish to take advantage of people who are seeking help for their problem. Newspapers and magazines and especially the internet, routinely publish advertisements about "tinnitus relief." These ads are usually accompanied by what appears to be convincing testimonials.
The advice we give is fairly straightforward:
- No matter how compelling, testimony is not evidence.
- Testimonials never indicate how many failed to find relief.
- These so-called "miracle cures" have not been scientifically tested for safety or effectiveness.
Our initial investigations indicate that the product is nothing more than an expensive combination of supplements, none of which have been shown to have any benefit for people with tinnitus.
Warmest wishes

Thank you. Yes what you're saying makes sense. I wouldn't have been swayed by testimonials on the sale site, it was simply one person's experience who posted on here. I'm pleased it's worked for them. Another lady on here also finds it helps. Definitely not a cure. My T is very mild, and I'm still hopeful and positive that it will go of its own accord. This is a very good forum. I feel safe here, so thank you again. x
