Hi soutersfield and welcome to this site. You have come to a good place. Can you give us a little more information so we can better help?

Have you been diagnosed? If so, are you receiving treatment and what treatment are you on? Do you have any test results you can share? Are you being seen by an endocrinologist or is it your GP?

I have Graves disease (autoimmune form of hyperthyroidism - or over active thyroid) and ended up like a stick insect through loss of weight before I was diagnosed.

I weighed under 6 stone. The good news is that eventually, once I had taken control of my own levels of medication, I got better and eventually put on weight and recovered from the associated conditions that were caused by such massive weight loss - essentially malnutrition or a bit like anorexia.

Let us have your full story so we can try to help with your questions.

I can well empathise with you on the weight loss. I looked like a plucked turkey - the weight just dropped off. Although I am not putting on weight I have stabilised and the body doesn't look so hideous. I am pleased to hear you are o.k. now.

Take care.

xCarole

Good luck on Tuesday. I lost 14 kilos in weeks! I am told it will come back! I think it takes time for the body to rebalance. Good you are exercising to maintain muscle tone. I am currently working with my physio and hydro therapy because of muscle wastage. I thought I was fit with dog walking, gardening etc....but fast weight loss can cause problems.

Take care.

I'm still underweight and losing slightly but nowhere near as much as I was before treatment started. I eat 6 times a day including the 2am porridge I'm currently munching and snack on belvita biscuits throughout day to atop hunger bangs. Best wishes you start putting some back on soon :)
