Hi all,
I discovered in the spring that I have multiple U3 nodules with vascularity and additional one in another nearby gland through a private thyroid ultrasound because I was told the NHS waiting ultrasound list was very long. I was told at the private ultrasound to see an endocrinologist and have an FNA despite the nodules being only U3. NHS scans were completely dismissive (despite finding it difficult to swallow at times because of swollen glands). I made the difficult decision to wait and repeat the private scan on the basis that if there is growth or increase of nodules as that would be good evidence of what is going on. I wanted to ask if anyone understands how vascularity and hypo-echoic and thyroid nodules relate? I ask because I’ve found that the NHS has not been helpful to helping me maintain my health and I am slowly deteriorating because I can’t provide clear evidence for anything in the standard disease checklists and am completely dismissed for consideration of anything else.
