How much water do you drink with Levothyroxine?

I used to drink a full glass water based on some generic brand's PILs. Now I'm taking Euthyrox and it says to take the medicine with a little(half a glass) of water. Is that enough?

I’m no expert but it doesn’t sound like much water does it. I worked with someone whose husband worked for a large drug company and one afternoon I watched her take antibiotics before dental surgery and she took her one little pill with a whole pint of water. When I commented she said her husband always took pills with a huge amount of water - suppose it was to wash it right down his gullet.

On the other hand if the PIL says to have it with just a small glass of water then perhaps there is a reason for that. You could speak to your pharmacist or contact the drug company and ask why?
