Morning saliva cortisol test

I recently posted a saliva cortisol test from medichecks and dont have the results yet. But does it matter if its not done immediately after waking?

I ask because i woke up during the night at 4am briefly, so i thought i should wait for a day where i sleep through the night so i dont skew the results when i woke at 6am. But then at 6:30 i changed my mind and did it anyway. So, would a sample done 30 minutes after waking be inaccurate ? Thanks

30 minutes after waking is exactly the right time to take it 🤗

I think all the tests say 30mins after waking when it peaks... as long as you didn't have a brew or brush your teeth 😳

Remember to not have any caffeinated drinks on the day also; that includes coffee and tea.
