blood test - do I need to fast from food also

morning, I’m having some bloods down this morning at 9.30am I haven’t taken any meds should I have not eaten also?

It is usually a very good idea to fast until after blood is taken for a thyroid test. This is also true for cholesterol testing (also known as lipid testing) , iron/ferritin testing, and glucose testing and probably a few others.

We usually suggest that the only thing you swallow in the morning before a blood test is water.

oh whoops for the first time I ever I have eaten cos I felt sick 🙈

You'll know for next time. If any of the results cause your doctor to question them you should mention they were carried out after you had eaten.
