Hashimoto’s

Hi there, should I be concerned by constant high anti body readings when I have my bloods taken? See picture below, mine is always 200+ when the range says below 34 is normal.

Or Am I right in thinking they will always be high due to having Hashimoto’s. My doctors has never actually told me I’ve got this I just presumed from the reading. Only ever been told I have Hypothyroidism. I’ve put some photos of my test results on here.

It it normal to have tinnitus and achy fingers with Hashimotos? Also my vision is blurry at times.

I have been taken 100mg of Levo only for over a year now.

Thanks

Yes high TPO antibodies confirms autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s

ESSENTIAL to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once a year

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin levels last tested

What are your most recent thyroid results

ALWAYS test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Previous posts say you were on 125mcg?

Tinnitus is frequently linked to low B vitamins and/or thyroid not adequately treated

Have you had coeliac blood test done

If not, request GP test BEFORE considering trial on strictly gluten free diet

Hi Slow doragon, thank you for your advice. I don’t take any vitamins at present. I have had vit b12, iron and d checked within last 12 months all where in range, so am told. Do general multi vitamins do any good? Or is there anything particular that I should take? I’ve only ever reached 100mg of Levo, my previous post said I feel I should be on 125mg based on my height and weight.

Thanks

First …..always get actual results and ranges on all test results

GP will say any result is fine if within range. That’s not the same as a GOOD vitamin level

Eg B12 range is typically 180-680

GP will say a result of 185 is fine

Optimal vitamin levels are

Vitamin D at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better

Serum B12 at least over 500

Folate and ferritin at least half way through range

Multivitamins are never recommended on here

Come back with new post once you get results

Please add most recent TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 results

ALWAYS test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Most important results are always Ft3 followed by Ft4
