Thyroxine before blood withdrawal

Hi guys, a quick question if I can…

I’m having thyroid blood withdrawal this morning: I ‘ve remembered that this site advises to fast but it’s slipped my mind if I take my thyroxine before or after bloods? Please advise - thanks

The main thing is not to take thyroxine until after bloods. OK?

It is recommended that we do not take levo before a blood test - but afterwards.

This study showed that taking weekly L-T4 can adequately treat hypothyroidism. Further, measuring FT4 2 h after the dose can help determine if any absorption problems exist. Weekly L-T4 dosing may be helpful for patients that have difficulty taking medications on a daily basis.
