It's been ages because of covid since my meds have been reviewed. I have autoimmune thyroiditis and don't feel good. Don't even feel like ringing gp for appointment

How much extra? And how much do you usually take?

Make appointment with your GP and request thyroid and vitamin testing

Book early morning appointment, ideally before 9am and take last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Essential to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 too

Make an appointment for a blood test.

Always get the very earliest appointment - even if you've to make it weeks ahead.

Request TSH, Free T4 and Free T3 and thyroid antibodies.

Also request your B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate are tested too.

Don't take thyroid hormones before the blood draw - take it afterwards and make sure you re well hydrated a few days before.

Put your results - with the ranges - in a new post for comments.
