So My blood test is tomorrow morning. Quite quick as I only phoned up yesterday. On the phone the Dr said I should have had a repeat blood test in around October 2021. Yet no one contacted me to arrange it typical eh?
I'm guessing the results will show I need a uplift in Levothyroxine from 125 to 150. I know we have been here before but can someone tell me if It will be a quicker process than last time which took 7 weeks . I only say this as I have a job I need to keep up with.

well, see what bloods say, ... i note you remember feeling like this last year before your dose was increased. So i can see why you are sure you need an increase ,.... but be prepared for them to still be saying you need to reduce. If your bloods are similar to last ones TSH 0.11 (0.3-5) fT4 23 [9 -25 ] then they will just say you feel bad cos you needed to reduce to 125 /100 alternate.
But if you're right and TSH is significantly raised again and your dose is increased it should only be by 25mcg at most. ..if your fT4 is still fairly high in range, they may suggest 125/150 alternate rather than 150mcg.
(Of course you may get a muppet who thinks TSH of 4.9999 is perfectly fine!)
Remember to miss tomorrow AM's Levo dose and take it straight after the blood test. Otherwise your fT4 will appear higher than it really is.
By '7 weeks' are you meaning the wait for the blood test on the new dose ?.. or 7 weeks to feel better?
if you mean the blood test, it has to be done after 6-8 weeks on the new dose i'm afraid ..... any sooner and the TSH level won't have had time to adjust and settle.. so the results wont be accurate if you test too soon after a change.
(or did it take them 7 weeks to prescribe the last increase ? .. )
No in around 7 weeks is when i posted a update saying I was much improved and feel better. Touch wood its not as bad as last year. I started feeling funny on the sunday just gone. I reckon for sure my TSH is over 5 at the moment. Like I say I have been very disciplined when it comes to my medication. Waking up at 3am to take then having breakfast some hours later. Up until now it has been fine. I had covid in October and I am wondering whether it upset the balance somewhat. Plus I am triple jabbed two astra one pfizer.
