I thought I would post this link to a paper that I came across - thought it interesting, especially the fact that treating the hypothyroidism improved the condition. Perhaps this might stand for some other autoimmune disorders that exist with Hashimoto’s?

Charlie-Farley,
Interesting find.
‘Treatment of subclinical hypothyroidism with levothyroxine in our patient significantly improved the platelets, thus successfully bringing the disease in remission’ evidencing yet another manifestation of low thyroid hormone, even if not the whole cause .
And ‘As incidence of thyroid antibodies is high with ITP, it is reasonable to screen ITP patients with thyroid antibodies’ evidencing yet another reason to try keeping thyroid antibodies & so auto-immune response low.
Thank you for posting.
