Hi wonder if anyone has similar issues currently taking 100 of levo upped from 75, have been like this off and for over a year but my only problem when the doseage is increased my gums get very sore and unbelievably sensitive, soon as I drop down this goes away. Is this normal? Does anyone else experience this?

Increased dose problems
Do you have your latest blood test results after increasing from 75 to 100. It’s a big jump really a 25% increase. Be interesting to see if by upping by 25% you go over medicated. Over or under medicated can lead to all sorts of symptoms. I never suffer from tooth ache or with my teeth however, once when my GP increased my Levo dose I went over medicated and had a lot of tooth pain. I visited my dentist but she couldn’t see anything obvious. As soon as I lowered my dose the tooth pain went away. I definitely think it was linked. You could ask to trial on liquid Levothyroxine then you can choose a correct dose that suits you as it’s liquid you can draw into the syringe your exact dose and doesn’t have to be in 25mcg chunks due to it being tablet form. Or, if your over medicated you could take the extra 25mcg every other day not every day. Doesn’t matter as Levothyroxine T4 just sits in your body waiting to be converted to T3 which is what makes us tick and feel well.
