i ignorantly took some b supplement with biotin a few days before my test, but i saw this post from a few years back suggesting blue horizons dont use biotin
I know for a fact that Blue Horizon has used both The Doctor's Laboratory and County Pathology. I use them annually for my thyroid/vitamin panel.
Between 2015 and 2020 the tests were carried out by County Pathology.
In March 2018 it was sent to The Doctor's Laboratory but in November 2018 it was sent to County Pathology.
Medichecks use County Pathology and they have confirmed to me that CP do use biotin in the assay so this would apply to any test that CP carry out for Blue Horizon as well.
Have you sent the sample off? Which lab was the envelope addressed to? If you didn't notice, did you sent it back by Special Delivery and get a receipt? If so what is the post code the PO assistant put there? If you didn't use Special Delivery what colour was the envelope?
Have you received the results back? If so then put a copy of them on the forum because it may be easy to identify which lab did the testing (don't show any personal details in the picture).
Another thing is, how long before the test did you take the supplement containing biotin? The amount of biotin in a B Complex is small (often around 400mcg), the amount of biotin that will affect test results is a lot larger - 5mg. So leaving off the B Complex for 3 days is thought to be plenty of time for it not to affect results.
When they have done my BH tests it says "Report produced by The Doctor's Laboratory" on the top right of the page. It also names the lab if TDL does it for Medichecks. If County Pathology does it Medichecks names them but BH never has on previous tests.
