Am hash/hypo. On 125mcg Levo. Been monitoring bloods and steadily increasing dose. But still suffer with tennis elbow especially in the mornings. Is this related to thyroid issues and any tips on how to relieve it please?

Tennis elbow is a type of tendinitis. Tendinitis happens with low FT3/ hypo. I dealt with hip flexor tendinitis for about 3 years. What finally fixed it was thyroid medication and getting my FT3 up. In order to do that, I had to combine levo and NDT. What is your FT3 level currently? If you can find that out, it may show that you need to boost it.

My conversion ratio from t3 to t4 is ok but my t4 is not in upper quarter so am increasing levo to see if that will then increase t3

How long have you been on 125mcg

Important to get FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing after 6-8 weeks on 125mcg

Are you improving low vitamins in previous post

Have been supplementing vits and yet to have tested to see if improving. Have blood form so will do when thyroid needs testing again, got to wait few more weeks as only started new 125 levo dose.

I suffered one form of tennis elbow. (By which I mean, a medic called it that but it didn't quite fit with what I read on detailed descriptions.)

I managed to get sent to physio. They did various massages and things and gave me exercises. Eventually, the really nice physio decided to try therapeutic ultrasound. On the first session, I felt something change in my arm and that was the real start of recovery.

The physio later said she had not expected it to work as it doesn't do much most of the time. But for me, I am 100% convinced it worked. Alongside titrating levothyroxine. :-)

Ask about ultrasound if you get the chance. Might be luck whether it gets pointed at exactly the right location.

Hi there - tennis elbow is awful - I got it trying to play tennis ONCE - never did it again.

Tendons can become weak with thyroid problems as vitamin C can be used up by the under supported adrenal glands - I suffer badly with tendon issues - and know when I need to up my dose of C.

Hope this helps

Try 1,000 mg - I don't normally advocate Holland and Barrett products but their Vitamin C are good products - they do various strengths.
