I’m going back to work in the office

I have Hashimoto’s and have been working from home for almost 5 weeks now.

I have the option to continue working from home but have decided to go into the office tomorrow.

I’m struggling with the lack of structure and routine involved with home working, and I’m particularly fed up with feeling as though I have to be constantly available - I even bring the phone to the loo!

I have put on weight and some days I don’t leave the flat. It’s depressing me.

The way I see it, going into work won’t place me at any more risk than a trip to Waitrose. I can keep my distance from others, maintain good hand hygiene and I won’t need to use public transport as I can get a lift there and back.

I won’t be having any contact with members of the public.

I think that, on balance, any increased risk (if there is in fact any increased risk) is worth the anticipated improvements to my overall health.
