Your joking!!! I only found out last summer that I have this & only cos I saw a different GP & asked “how are you?”..... I said “not good”

He said “I’m not surprised with all you have”!!

Then he told me & told me that 4yrs before my old GP put I refused treatment ... which is a lie.

So I went 5yrs untreated great

How utterly shocking! Did you tell him that the first GP lied?

I did tell him cos when he told me he actually said to me “you didn’t know did you?” ..... he could see how Shocked I was.

I’m angry for the fact I’ve been left with Pernicious Anemia Untreated for 5yrs & now I’ve got damage that should & wouldn’t have happened !!!!! :( I’m speechless that a Dr has done this & played GOD with my life !!!

We self-inject B12 at home too. I'm a nurse so it does not surprise me that doctors behave in a prejudiced way, unfortunately. I have seen some awful things. At least you found out what had happened. Bad that you were still left untreated. At least you can obtain B12 to self-inject; I assume you are not in Britain? That sounds like the worst place to consult a doctor, from what I read here. Best ...

I live in Britain & I have to say I’ve never been treated this way by any other Drs in my life, I believe in the NHS & just cos One Dr is awful that doesn’t make all Drs bad, she’s just a bad apple

Glad you have not experienced this before, but my impression that British medicine causes patients to be treated badly comes from reading about thyroid and B12 problems on this forum. One reads that people are forced to put up with bad treatment because they cannot change doctors easily, and that people cannot obtain B12 injections without a script and they cannot purchase dessicated pork thyroid in England, and that T3 is restricted and that you don't get treated until you have a TSH of around 10 and so forth. So, doctors have to conform to dictates of those administering the health system. And a result is that women in Britain die earlier than women in other parts of Europe, as I understand it.
