This is just a curiosity question. I lost my thyroid to cancer 3yrs ago and YES I have gained a lot of weight these 3 yrs and not because I sat around eating fast food and endless junk. I noticed that my cellulite seems to have invaded every inch of my body (no joking) and in places I’ve never had cellulite like my calves and they are fairly slim I’ve also noticed it on my forearms which is odd again never had it on my forearms.
Can hypothyroidism cause wide spread cellulite? I realize weight gain cause cellulite but it’s strange to have it (for me) on calves and forearms.

I developed this when I was bedridden for 2 years. I have noticed it is going now because my metabolism has kicked back in because I am in remission from Graves'. I had gooseflesh on my arms and legs and kept using a body scrub to get rid of it. I still use a body scrub but my arms and legs don't have the dry skin like I used to. Also my feet were swollen and I think I was underactive but my GP refused to treat me because my TSH was in range. I eventually purchased Thyroid S from Thailand because I was desperate to feel well again.
Most important results are FT3 and FT4 regardless of TSh
How much Levothyroxine are you currently taking?
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common,
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
I had a early December thyroid test my TSH dropped from 1.47 to .0633 and FT4 is at the low end of range and T3 is also at the lower end and that Intern Endo I have complained about refuses to do FT3 he claims it’s (not necessary)...I no longer got it in me to fight about labs because even if they did them they wouldn’t do a darn thing to fix anything.
I’m supplementing with D3 (800mg)ActiveK2 and Magnesium, Vit C and B12. The cellulite is crazy I’ve been heavier then I’m currently and never had this type of cellulite in these areas, it sits on the surface of skin where normally you pinch to see it (for me)anyway.
I always test early AM fasting and take meds after the labs!
