Whilst doing my research regarding T3 sources I came across Gugglestetones.

Does anyone know or have heard these?

Guggulsterones is what you mean I think. I am very wary of any alternative medecin additives or boosters. You never know exactly what you are taking or how it will react.

Yes, Gugglesterones!!

Got me thinking that there must be a natural 'earth based' thyroid support that the establishment doesn't want us to know about...me questioning as usual!

Wiki says this:

Guggulsterone is a phytosteroid found in the resin of the guggul plant, Commiphora mukul. Guggulsterone can exist as either of two stereoisomers, E-guggulsterone and Z-guggulsterone.

In humans, it acts as an antagonist of the farnesoid X receptor, which was once believed to result in decreased cholesterol synthesis in the liver.

Several studies have been published that indicate no overall reduction in total cholesterol occurs using various dosages of guggulsterone, and levels of low-density lipoprotein ("bad cholesterol") increased in many people.[1][2]

Nevertheless, guggulsterone is an ingredient in many nutritional supplements.

Guggulsterones were all the rage a few years ago for weight loss. Didn't work, though.

Apparently there are two methods of extraction and one is more effective and expensive than the other, so most supplements use the cheap, ineffective version. But made no difference to me.

I will give them a wide berth! C

Sound like some eccentric country cousins of the Flintstones! :-D

Some scientific names you just couldn't make up. Like Quarks, which are not a row of noisy ducks but super-tiny subatomic particles.

An Ayurvedic med from Commiphora Mukul. Made no difference to me either way, but I have central hypo. But supposed to be helpful in RA, cholesterol management and hypertension, for example. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi...

I have always thought that cholesterol, one assumes ‘high’, is not a problem so no need to take anything to adjust it. From all that I’ve read those with higher cholesterol levels live longer.

According to Tom Brimeyer [forefront health] high cholesterol is both a side effect of hypothyroidism and protective for people who are hypos.
