Does any one find after taking T4 the anxiety starts?

T4
I found Levothyroxine didn’t help me at all and anxiety is just one of many underactive thyroid symptoms. I’m on T3 only and this suits me.
Do you know if you convert well? Are on the correct dose? Gluten free? Vitamin levels are all good? It’s a fine balance juggling all of these but getting them all right makes all the difference managing your symptoms
Thanks. I don’t convert well
Taking 125 T4 at night and 20 T3 on a morning
Not gluten free. Had a test all good
I had my thyroid removed due to cancer
Vits are all ok
Think I might need to ditch the T4
Seeing endo in dec
Aww so you’ve not got hashimotos. Hope your recovering now from the cancer.
Yeah speak to your endo. My endo encouraged me to remove T4 as my dose was gradually being reduced as it just had very little effect on my bloods and I didn’t feel well on it. Came on leaps and bounds since being on T3 only.
Do what feels right for your. It is trial and error to get in a good place so hope you get there soon
How is your adrenal health? If you are not converting could the build up of T4 in your system be causing you problems? Could the adrenals be overcompensating for your inability to process medication? Just thoughts based on my own experiences. Long term poor thyroid health, and no treatment followed by 20 years trying to make t4 work. Saw Dr P, he suggested that poor thyroid function, adrenals kick in try to compensate, until they too become compromised. Might explain anxiety? I had started to have panic attacks and unexplainable anxiety - things like getting to a hotel in Greece and not being able to cope with being on 5th floor. Went onto balcony - in dark so not able to see too much but legs went to jelly and I felt so sick, could not stay in the room. Never happened before.
So adrenals worth looking at. All connected.
