I found an email somewhere ThyroidDisease@nice.org.uk and wrote a very long email entitled “long suffering Hashimotos patient”. Here’s the reply with a link which takes you to all kinds of pages. I haven’t read much so far and it is very wordy. Wondered if any of the knowledgeable people in here can glean anything. Also it gives the opportunity for anyone to write their comments before the new guidelines are published so may be a good opportunity to be heard. Maybe Thyroid UK know about this and may possibly have responded already hopefully.
Here is the response...
Thank you for your email.
We are currently consulting on our draft thyroid disease guideline which is due to publish later this year. Further details, including how to submit comments, can be found on the guideline webpage: nice.org.uk/guidance/indeve.... The deadline for comments if 5pm on 17 July 2019.
All comments submitted by the guideline consultation deadline will be shared with the guideline developer. The developer will provide responses to comments received from registered stakeholders of this guideline and these comments and responses are published as part of the guideline documentation. You may wish to support one of the registered stakeholder organisations nice.org.uk/guidance/gid-ng... in providing feedback. Alternatively, we are able to accept comments from individuals but the developer is not required to provide a response and they are not included in the published documentation.
Best wishes
