Hypothyroid and narcolepsy

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else here has hypothyroidism and narcolepsy. I was diagnosed about 3 months with narcolepsy with cataplexy and have had hypothyroidism for 7 years now.

I was just wondering how it effects either condition, sometimes I can't tell if it's my thyroid or narcolepsy.

I have also been told that I need to have a lumbar puncture to check my hypocretin levels, has anyone else had this done?

Not personally, but my aunt had narcolepsy. She still lived to 95 and did Tai Chi until she died, so the prognosis is not all bad. She used to fall asleep if bored or stressed, but otherwise her symptoms didn't seem to be like my hypo. Sorry, not much help.

I no longer have the thyroid and I have narcolepsy and cataplexy. Would love to talk to you more. How ?
