Hi there, has anyone had elevated prolactin that has come down after getting treated for hypothyroidism? If so, what was the timeline like?

Thank you!

Prolactin can be high due to hypothyroidism

It should drop, as your treatment improves

You have only just started on Levothyroxine. Dose is likely to need slow increase. Bloods will need retesting 6-8 weeks after each dose increase

Important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 regularly too. These often need supplementing to maintain at good levels
