Does anyone know anything about Hypothyroidism causing hypoandrogenism?

Primary hypothyroidism in males is associated with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, ie that caused by problems with the pituitary gland or hypothalamus, which is reversible with thyroid hormone replacement therapy.

According to wiki:

"Although androgens are commonly thought of only as male sex hormones, females also have them, but at lower levels: they function in libido and sexual arousal. Also, androgens are the precursors to estrogens in both men and women."

Given that thyroid hormone deficiency has the potential to mess *everything* up, it seems very reasonable to assume that it can cause Hypoandrogenism in women. Hopefully, appropriate thyroid hormone replacement would, in time, rectify the problem.

Trouble is high male hormones in women cause all sorts of problems, hair loss, weight gain, hair growth, diabetes, kidney damage, etc. So wondering if lack of T4 or T3 is causing it. More tests. Thanks
