Hi friends

I did post for delay periods.my periods start after 50 days.but these period make me ill.i have vy heavy flow.my periods usualy stop at 5th day.but i am having heavy flow at 5th day.i dnt take thyroxin50mg since 4 days.i take paracetamol,may be it cause haevy bleeding

Plz help me how to stop my periods

Why did you stop your Levothyroxine 50mcg for four days? Are you taking it now? It is needed every day. You haven't been on it very long. We have to persevere. You may need an increase to 75mcg now. Ask for Thyroid blood tests to review dose. Write a list of all symptoms for the doctor.

Have you seen your doctor for the heavy bleeding? Ask for a referal to a Gynaecologist.

Drink extra fluids and eat well. Ask doctor for blood tests - to check if heavy bleeding has caused Anemia.

If you don't stop bleeding then I would go to Hospital emergency department .

Low iron is common in people who are hypothyroid.

Low iron may increase bleeding during periods, and improving your iron levels (if they are below optimal) might reduce your bleeding.

You would need to get serum iron, ferritin (iron stores) and transferrin saturation tested to find out if your iron was at good levels or not.
