Thyroid Ultrasound... Can a lump be missed?

Morning! I had a scan this morning they said looks fine ! But i can defiantly feel a lump on my neck by thyroid, could it just be something else like gristle or can it be missed??

Thinking maybe should Go for private ultrasound just for second opinion any recommendations of where without gp referral??

Your previous post shows you have Hashimoto's and poor conversion.

Have you got recent results for vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

What supplements do you take, if any

Are you on strictly gluten free diet?

Getting vitamins optimal can improve conversion. Gluten free diet diet can help gut heal

I am currently working on my vitamins I take jarrow 1000mcg and have a good vitamin b supplement , spatone one a day and trying liver one a week ( even though its horrible lol) I take vitamin d 2000 or 4000iu a day but have been getting it from sun last month! Gluten free for years.

Was just wondering about the ultra sound as I can feel lump but today they couldnt see anything , was only in there 60 secs if that .

I was always aware of hard lump (even though no one could feel it) until addition of T3 to T4

As you're gluten intolerant then gut function is compromised and likely need small dose of T3

Have you had DIO2 gene test?
