Interesting question. I suppose it might depend on the cause of hyperparathyoidism? Have you been referred to an Endocrinologist and what have they said?
I have not been referred to an endocrinologist. I was feeling very vey tired since taking calcium and phosphorous supplements to ensure I am getting enough in my 7th month of pregnancy. When I looked up hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism came up and the symptoms seemed to be very similar to mine (restless legs, fatigue and muscle cramps). I stopped my calcium and am beginning to feel better and supplement with vitamin D and magnesium. I am just curious to see what others have found about these tiny glands and I will get my blood tested in my next doctors visit.
