Thank you Shaws for highlighting this very interesting article.

I Always find Dr Kendrick's articles fascinating, have read his books "Doctoring Data" and "The Great Cholesterol Con" which are both illuminating reads.

I often wonder why doctors, who in the majority are scared rigid when you have high cholesterol and you refuse statins, are not more prepared look at why your cholesterol has risen so quickly and diagnose more hypothyroidism as it is a clear indicator of thyroid problems.

It is unfortunate that medical paradigms seem to change so very slowly.

My blood boils every time I hear a well known doctor on a lunchtime radio programme saying how important a low fat diet is and how it is essential that you take statins if you have elevated cholesterol.
