Hi there all i have Hashimotos and was diagnosed back in august last year and gained alot of knowledge from our lovely members on here but i got thinking tonight how often do other people have a hashi swing as mine seem to be quite often, how long do yours last, what are your symptons? Mine is the horrid tight neck feeling and uncormfortable pressure, feels like strangulation, jittery, and dont know why but seems to affect my nose in a strange nervous way-i know it sounds crazy, also slight stabbing pain on one side of thyroid.

Just interested to know other peoples experiences. As always a big thankyou in advance.🌟🌟.xx

Yes many people with hashis and graves experience the horrid tight neck and throat feeling, .i was told iti from where the thyroid swells underr attack and then goes back down i have seen many posts where people have this horrid thing, also having wrong dosage of meds does not help this sympton. Mine usually lasts 2 days but also stress makes it worse.xx

Mine vary and I’m still trying to figure out what my triggers are. I find it’s usually either certain foods or I’m unwell such as a migraine and affects my overall health and has a knock on affect to my thyroid and so causes swelling in my throat. Oh and stress! Stress is a huge factor x

Yes stress is a massive impact on our thyroid- i agree but we cant avoid situations we just have to deal with them alot calmer-easier said than done sometimes.😊😊😊

Me too that’s the anxiety I think. The app helps and trains you. It also improves sleeping so can help with overall health too

Wow I never knew that but then I don’t know anything about under active thyroid just that I have to take pills for the rest of my life!! I have health anxiety aswell so that doesn’t help the situation 🙄 x

I find there is no real pattern to the flares other than stress being a major factor and eating unhealthy Gluten heavy foods.

I know I have a flare on its way when my eyes start to feel uncomfortable and my shoulders ache like I’ve been weight lifting.

I also find I feel moody and anxious too which is always nice for the wife 😂
