Does rhr give an indication how things are?

For quite some time after diagnosis (hashis) my resting heart rate was always low 50s but recently sits around 60bpm (I am able to monitor via Fitbit). So just wondering if a higher rhr correlates to how things are although still feeling cold, tired etc.?

If your heart rate is rising, I would think that your hormones are helping and your heart is responding by being around a 'normal' rate of 60+. You may still have some way to go yet in your dose as your symptoms of cold, tired etc should also be relieved.

I watched my RHR drop to 38 when off t3 and on low iodine diet for Rai ablation. It now sits about 49-53 my TSH is suppressed but still don’t feel fab.

It’s an indicator so yes may give you an idea of how well you’re dosed.

Very interested in others experience too. I have Fitbit too but only got it after first half of thyroid taken out so never had my normal.

Wow that was a low rhr. Interestingly I used to feel better the higher my rhr but this doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Sorry to hear you're still not feeling great with THS suppressed, bit worried about this happening to me as been advised to increased to suppress TSH. Are you back on T3 also?

Yes nurses had bit of a hissy before RAI esp as hubby said I’d been dizzy and BP was in my boots. 😂😂 Did ask what they expected with no thyroid and no meds and low iodine diet for 2 wks. Consented to do my RAI after a few strong words.

T3 was just stop gap btw surgery and RAI. Only on levo 125 now. T3 been discounted twice by endo, next app April.

I can see by RHR when I eat sugar too as always pops it up one or two beats.

Avidly taking vits so will see what bloods look like.

I’m def not struggling hugely suppressed but still not ‘there’ not sure if that’s even attainable.

Good luck
