Me? At bedtime.

Darcybell1,

I've taken mine morning and bedtime. It's never made any difference to how I felt. As I like late night snacks and I don't like breakfast it suits me better to take thyroid meds in the morning.

I switched to nights on friday the same day might levo was increased 25mcg im unsure wether its the increase or time change but im dizzy cold and nauseus also extreme nightmares but feel more positive mentally think i might need to go back to morning dose

There is at least some evidence that bed-time dosing often increases absorption. So you might have undergone two increments - one from the higher dose, the other from the change of time. If you were only a little under-dosed, you could easily have gone too far.

But did you take morning and bed-time doses on Friday? Which would tend to further increase your intake. Or did you skip Friday morning's dose - in which case you might not yet have caught up, especially if you were significantly under-dosed.

So you might not yet have caught up...

Hopefully, you will get there very soon.

I take mine at night time no difference.

The general advice is to take it in the morning but AT LEAST 30 minutes before food. This is easy if you get up, take your tabs then wash & dress before breakfast.

If you have been prescribed a Calcium & Vitamin D supplement then you should wait at least 4 hours after taking your Levo.

Not if you're on early shifts!. Dr Toft says some patients benefit from taking levothyroxine @ night time as it has more time to get absorbed into the bloodstream.😖

I take mine at 7 am every morning. I have tried experimenting taking it at night for a few days and didn’t work out because I couldn’t resist not eating something at night. I don’t want to go to bed hungry. I have read that some say nights work better for them, it really depends on the person.

I take mine when I get up for the loo in the night, that way I get four clear hours before my breakfast round of heart tablets starts

I take mine at night. It’s such a nuisance faffing about time cups of tea and breakfast etc. So much easier at night and it’ll stop late night snacking!

I take my Levo at 5:00pm daily. That time simply works for me.
