Blood test time

Hi I've got a private blood test booked for Monday and the slot I was given is 11am..

Is that to late? I know I need to fast, not take meds that morning but wondered if that was too late in the morning to get optimal results from the blood draw. What do you advise as will need to get in contact with them early if I need to change. Only questioning as general advice on here says to get earliest app.

Thank you!

Dee8686,

TSH is highest early in the morning which is why early and fasting tests are recommended. I don't think there is any danger of your GP thinking you are overmedicated with TSH 4.1 so 11am is probably fine but you should try for earlier tests around 9am in future.

Ok thank you. I will try and see if I can get an earlier appointment but thank you for replying. X
